On October 24th 2025 a slightly-smaller-than-expected group arrived at Foxhill; but faith, hope and love were undaunted; and #66 got under way. We were going to have a proper Cursillo Weekend, with all the trimmings. I think that the physical surroundings of Foxhill house and its grounds contributed in a quiet but important way to the Weekend. The house is situated in a delightful hollow in the wooded hills near Frodsham. To drive up to the house is to feel held in the palm of God’s hand, securely hedged about by love. And then the staff of the house are so unobtrusively caring too. The chapel – a circular, tiered space – also enhances that feeling of being held in fellowship in the safety of God’s love. On Sunday afternoon, when it was time to pack the cars, and say “Goodbye” to visitors, team and participants, I think we were all thankful to God for a time of refreshing and growth. But the proof of the pudding is in the eating!
