Revd Sharon Guest – National Spiritual Director
Hi everyone, I am Revd Sharon Guest and I live in Rochford and am in a clergy team of 6 with 7 churches that we minister in together.
My first experience of Cursillo was when I made my own Cursillo in 2007, it was to be for me a transformational experience and where my sense of calling to ordained ministry was to be affirmed and so I pursued my calling and was ordained in 2012 in the Chelmsford Diocese.
I have held several various roles within Cursillo to include; 4 th day convener; Chelmsford Diocesan Spiritual Director and Greater London Area Rep. indeed I have served in most of the roles on Cursillo Weekends except for Lay Rector! There is great joy in Cursillo and this can be seen when we lead on a weekend and when we gather together as the people of God to seek his will for the Cursillo movement. At this time we are blessed to be involved as the Cursillo movement is indeed on the move as we hear many new ideas of new ways of working together to bring glory to God through his people. As we know God is always moving forward and we run behind trying to catch up! Isaiah 43: 19 reminds us: See, I am doing anew thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness, And streams in the wasteland
As we move forward together I pray that we look and see what God is doing and be prepared to step out in faith as we serve him. I am looking forward to meeting many of you as we gather at the various events and meetings with my prayers and blessings for all that you do in furthering Cursillo in your dioceses.
