BACC is required to give you this notice to comply with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has been in effect in the UK since May 2018 It replaces the old law on data protection (the Data Protection Act 1998) and gives individuals more rights and protection in how their personal data is used by organisations. Each and every organisation must comply with its requirements.

In this notice, we outline the data we hold about you; the reason why we need to hold the data, and your rights regarding access to this data.

What information do we hold?

Your name, telephone number(s), address, e-mail address, Cursillo Diocese and Secretariat post (or any combination of these as supplied by yourself).

What are your rights regarding knowing what information we hold?

Under the GDPR you are entitled to see a copy of all information we hold about you whether this is held in our computer systems or in our paper-based files, to make corrections where there are errors, or to ask for your data to be deleted.

Why do we hold the information?

We hold the information (data) so we can send Minutes of the BACC Meetings; BACC publications and other information about BACC events. We also draw on this information to answer permissible individual enquiries for local Cursillo contacts.

Who can access this information?

Position, name, and a contact email address are visible online at www.anglicancursillo.uk on a password protected page. The password is made known only to the Cursillo community. The full information in the Register is held only by the BACC Registrar who can be contacted as registrar@anglicancursillo.uk
