The Cursillistas of the Dioceses of Leeds, Sheffield and York are looking forward to welcoming you to the GB Ultreya in Yorkshire to be held in Sheffield Cathedral
As Sheffield is in the middle of the country with good motorway ( M1) and rail connections, we hope that it will be possible for many of you to be with us for this very special occasion. We have tried to put together some general information to help you, but it is not conclusive so please ask if you require any additional information and we will try to help.

Venue
Everything on the Saturday will take place in the Cathedral which is in the centre of Sheffield. Post Code S1 1HA.
Travel

Parking

Programme for the Day
A more detailed programme will be available soon as some timings are still being confirmed but the available details so far are that: –
- Registration will take place in the Cathedral at 9am with The Welcome at 10.15am followed by the Floating Group Reunion (Please feel free to slip in as you arrive as not everyone will be able to arrive at 9am).
- Lunch Although the Cathedral will provide the teas and coffee at the beginning and end of the event. You will need to provide your own lunch but there are a number of cafes in the vicinity of the Cathedral.
- Act of Witness: we will be gathering on the apron outside the Cathedral at 13.45 for singing and the formation of the procession of banners to lead into the service.
- The Eucharist Service will commence when the the Procession of Banners arrives inside the Cathedral.
- The day will end with tea and cake at about 4pm.
Welcome
If this is your first GB event or if you are coming on your own and don’t know anyone it is possible to feel a bit daunted. If this is the case, please don’t be embarrassed to say this to anyone wearing a sash and they will be pleased to introduce you to people.
Accessibility
Please be aware that Sheffield Cathedral is on a number of levels, but arrangements are in place with slopes and platform lifts. Please let us know if you will require any assistance. If you have a hearing impairment there is a loop system but if you require a signer, please let us know well in advance so we can ensure we have the right number we will require. Likewise, if you require large print, we will need to know in advance but will be happy to provide it.
Recording and Photographs
There is the possibility that the service may be recorded, and photographs will be taken. If this causes you any difficulty, please let us know in advance but please be aware we have no control over people taking their own photographs.
Friday Evening Arrangements
The BACC Standing Committee will have been meeting on Friday during the day, and some of us who are making the arrangements will be in Sheffield as well. So, if you will be arriving in Sheffield on the Friday evening you may like to join us socially. If so, please complete the relevant part of the booking form and indicate your preference for the meal for which there will be a cost.
Friday Evening
- The Venue: The Wilson Carlile Centre, 50 Cavendish Street, Broomhall, Sheffield S3 7RZ on FRIDAY evening at 7pm
- Supper will be preordered Meat or Vegetarian Pies with peas (cost to be advised)
